Wood is a traditional material, which has been used for making houses, pillars, doors, windows, fencing, paneling and flooring since ancient times. Even nowadays one can find well-preserved window cases made centuries ago, although at that time the technologies were far from perfect.

Ecological advantages of wood are evident. Unlike plastic materials emitting poisonous gases into the atmosphere under certain conditions, wood is entirely environmentally friendly. Moreover, this natural material creates a nice and cozy atmosphere in the house. It’s easy to handle and pleasant to look at.

Modern non-polluting methods of wood processing ensure prolonged durability of window blocks, provide easy maintenance and preserve their natural look. New technologies also helped to improve functional and operational characteristics of windows: durability, heat, frost and sound resistance, ecological house compatibility.

Among the materials used for our window blocks are fir, pine, larch, mahogany and oak.

Larch is one of the best building materials possessing high level of durability and resistibility to natural phenomena influences. Due to the combination of high density of wood and excellent resistance to rotting larch is practically not subject to damage caused by insects.

Research has shown that the inner structure of a fallen tree may stay intact for several centuries. Many constructions made of larch 300-500 years ago have preserved to the present day.

Larch is also water resistant. The City of Venice was constructed on platforms raised above water, and resting on piles made of Siberian Larch. After 1400 years some of the piles were inspected. It turned out that larch piles serving as a base for the underwater part of the city have become so hard that cutting them either with an axe or with a saw is next to impossible. An Italian historian Tentori, the author of “History of Venice” wrote that the prosperity of Venetians was conditioned by the durability of larch pile constructions.

Pine is the most commonly used material for production of our windows. The durability of pine windows does not concede that of windows made from oak. Pine wood possesses high mechanical properties and has remarkable level of stability in all climatic conditions.

Our windows are made of triple layer wooden bar measuring 78 x 80 mm. The wood is thoroughly selected and doesn’t contain such defects as cracks, chopped or dropping out knots. The turn-folding mechanism provides two modes of window opening, room airing, a high degree of reliability and safety.
