Peltrox®, stainless steel with a vintage appearance, is an innovative material especially suitable for those who love the retro look but do not want to give up the benefits of research and technology. Peltrox® is a recently patented material that offers the same tactile and visual rendering of its oldest predecessor from which it has been inspired (pewter), but in addition offers all the advantages of stainless steel: stainless, hygienic, resistant to impact and wear over time. Peltrox® tops are available in thicknesses of 12 mm and 120 mm encased. They can be utilised for supported and mounted washbasins or with built-in moulded tubs.

This is a material composed of natural mineral deposits (calcium carbonates and aluminium trihydrate) linked to a low percentage of polyester resin. It is not therefore a plastic material but a mineral compound sleek to the touch, hygienic and suitable for bathroom décor. The gelcoat film that coats the surface of the material makes it possible to obtain excellent resistance from a physical and chemical perspective such as to be immune to the attack of limestone and completely non-toxic.

Tecnoril derives its special properties from its composition, comprising 2/3 aluminium trihydrate (obtained from bauxite and therefore highly resistant to chemicals) and 1/3 acrylic resin (making the compound absolutely styrene-free), which ensures the top will be immune to yellowing over time. This material’s absorption level is 0.03%, making it immune to attack by chemicals such as acetone, ammonium, acetic acid, citric acid, sodium chloride, detergent solutions, oil, coffee, tea, beer and ethanol. Even in the case of even more aggressive substances (ink) the stain only penetrates by a few tenths of a millimetre. The top is supplied complete with a repair kit for removal of any stains which should form. Tecnoril also has excellent heat resistance and impressive hardness (barcol hardness = 62). What’s more, this material is unaffected by limescale and completely non-toxic.

The top 10 mm thick are painted using water-based paints, oven-dried and protected with a final layer of transparent paint surface that give to the top a further protection to scratching and corrosion. Available in 25 colors that, using the extra clear glass allow a perfect match with the cabinet underneath.

7 mm thick porcelain stone, or rather a mix of multiple clays pressed onto one another and fired at very high temperatures (1200 C°). This stoneware sheet is then glued to a polyurethane polymer foam support plate to obtain a thickness of 20 mm.

Laminam is not significantly affected by organic or inorganic chemical solvents, disinfectants or detergents. It cleans up extremely easily while maintaining its original surface characteristics (any limestone residue can be safely cleaned with any limescale on the market). Does not allow mould, bacteria or fungi build-up. Laminam is deeply scratch and abrasion resistant: its properties remain unchanged even after intensive use and frequent cleaning. The only product capable of attacking it is hydrofluoric acid.

Eco-compatibility and recyclability: Laminam is an all-natural product. It does not release elements into the environment and can be easily milled and recycled in other production processes.

STONETEK shower trays are manufactured from mould production process, and thanks to the special mix they are composed of: thermo-setting resin and natural mineral deposits. Our trays are coloured throughout their mass and finished with a high hardness and stain and acid-resistant protective film, which is also coloured.

STONETEK shower tray safety is also unbeatable, thanks to the surface finish with relief effect that makes them highly anti-slip.

INSTALLATION: before installation, verify absolute flatness of the shower tray. If warping is present due to the elasticity of material, place the tray on a flat surface for about 4 hours. Only after having verified that it is once again flat, position it in its housing, using a level to check it on its 4 sides. Correct shower tray installation involves laying on a waterproofed shaved screed with specific adhesives such as KERAKOLL H40, GRANIRAPID, MAPEI or similar.

CLEANING: for daily cleaning, use a non-abrasive sponge with water and neutral detergent. Do not use acidic, strong based cleaners or solvents. Due to the particular roughness of the material, it is to be considered normal if some water drops remain on the surface (physical “surface tension” phenomenon). This may be accentuated in cases with increased water hardness.
